It is very important to realize that we are not alone in the world. It is quite logical that we are focused on our own problems but it`s dangerous to think that these problems are only relevant thing in the universe. They are not.

The thing is that we cannot and we won`t solve any our problem by ignoring the global picture and global problems regardless of the fact that we are very small. So what? Everyone has his own share of the responsibility and rights no matter how big or small he is. We must realize that we`re living in the global world and that we`re working in the global economy. Even the political and juridical system are more and more global. We should never forget it.

The real question is how to be relevant in today`s world. It`s not about it that someone big hates us. The real danger today is that someone big doesn`t know us. If we are invisible then we do not exist.

If you want to exist-you must be relevant. And if you want to be relevant you must offer good and creative ideas. We`ve stopped providing the good ideas since Tesla. Look at the culture, art, philosophy, maths, biology, physics, economy-nothing. We do provide nothing. We are not on the map.

Our political and economical situation is a result of the fact that we are not on the map. We are not important to anyone so why anyone should care about our interests. And what is our interest? To be the subject or to be the object of action? So far we`ve wanted to be treated as the object of actions. We`ve wanted others to solve our problems. We did nothing to do our own job.

Today problems are global. So the solutions are. Our problem isn` just our anymore. If you want to become visible again you must think of global problems and offer the solutions that matter within the global frame. You must be present in the global market of ideas. If you`ve got good ideas you will be  recognized. And when you`re recognized you`re relevant. Then you really are subject and you really have rights, not just paper ones.

We cannot afford to have no idea what`s going on in EU, Wall Street, Beijing or in any other important place. We must know what`s going on and we must know it does consider us. It`s not far away from us, it`s just about us. We need to know about all the political, economical, cultural or ideological trends that are actual today in any relevant part of the globe.

The good news is that weapons, military power and natural resources are not the only relevant thing today. They are very relevant but the most important thing is knowlegde. We talk about skills and we talk about ideas. If we possess those we are welcome in the global market of ideas. I repeat, this is the most important market today.

Our main interest should be participation in this market. This is our only chance. This is the only chance for all small nations. Otherwise we`ll remain invisible. Forever.
