The rule of law is priority for Serbia

Serbian minister of justice and administration Nikola Selakovic said that the rule of law was the most important precondition for investments. He added that legal stability was the first task of his department.

Minister Selakovic visited Vienna where he was speaking at the session of Austrian-Serbian Economic Forum.

There is no company which would invest money in country where the rule of law and economical stability are uncertain. Our job is to provide these conditions to make better environment for investing in Serbia“, said Selakovic.

According Selakovic, fight against organized criminal and corruption is number one priority of Serbian government. He underlined that his department would make reforms of both judiciary and administration in the upcoming months.

Selakovic repeated the will of Serbian government to become EU member because “EU provides the best opportunities for Serbia and Austria know it very well“.

Austria and Austrian companies are the biggest foreign investor in Serbia with over two billion euros. Austria is also one of the most importan economical partners of Serbia.
